Restaurant Wins Bible Study Case

It took seven years, but Serrano's Mexican Restaurants, based in Arizona, won a case involving an after-hours Bible study. Former manager Terra Naeve sued the chain with the help of the EEOC because it tried to stop her from holding the study with several workers. The company says its policy manual prohibits supervisors from socializing with subordinates outside of work Three years ago a jury sided with the business and now an appeals court has upheld that ruling. Serrano says it offered Naeve a transfer.
