Resignations at Troubled University

The chairman of the board and Interim President Wayne Kraiss at Vanguard University in Southern, California have both resigned. The chief academic officer has taken over as acting president.

The Assemblies of God-associated school is facing both accreditation and financial problems:

  • The Christian university is more than $40 million in debt.
  • The Western Association of Schools and Colleges has threatened to remove its accreditation after a fall inspection.
Vanguard has some 2000 students.
