Robocop Director

The man behind Basic Instinct and Robocop is taking on Jesus. Filmmaker Paul Verhoeven has written a bio of Jesus that will be printed this fall by an Amsterdam publishing house. Besides directing several Hollywood bockbusters, he’s a member of the Jesus Seminar, a group that says it tries to separate the facts about Jesus from the religious myth. The book Jezus van Nazareth: A Realistic Portrait will suggest that Jesus real father is a Roman soldier who raped Mary. Verhoeven is hoping to turn the story into a movie.
