My first reaction to this news was negative because a majority of people read the bible without any understanding of where their particular language version came from. People who know the bible came from first Aramaic, then Greek and Latin sources do not use it to denigrate others. But people who simply read, without having studied, frequently use it to promote bigotry. Thus volume of reading the Good Book does not indicate compliance with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
