National Day of Prayer
The National Day of Prayer is this coming Thursday. It will be the 60th annual observance. Congress first established a National Prayer Day in 1952. In 1988, lawmakers set the first Thursday in May as the official day for presidents to issue proclamations asking Americans to pray.
