A Muslim Imam began a session of the Iowa legislature this past week with prayer. The pastor of the Evangelical Free Church in Albert City complains that his prayer included a request for “Victory over those who disbelieve". Steve Smith says that is asking God to grant the Muslims victory over every non-muslim. The invocation also asked for "protection from the great Satan" - which Smith says could be taken as a reference to the US. Representative Gary Worthan of Storm Lake has filed a formal complaint over the prayer.
