Fireproof is now out on DVD. The indie pic was put together by Sherwood Church in Albany, Georgia for just half-a-million dollars. But it took in $33 million this past year. That makes it the most financially successful American independent movie of 2008. That's more than the COMBINED totals for The Visitor, In Bruges and Rachel Getting Married and the Oscar-nominated indiesFrozen. Kirk Cameron who once starred in Growing Pains stars in Fireproof. He agrees to a Love Dare help save his marriage. The Bible-inspired program has caught on.
