Screamin' Demons

A Georgia pastor is trying to get his local high school to drop its mascot. Donald Crosby of Kingdom Builders Church of Jesus Christ says teams at Warner Robins High School shouldn't be called the Demons. Crosby is tring to get his son transferred from the school to avoid having him shout, "Go Demons!" at games. In the meantime, he started a petition drive. The mascot was adopted right after World War II in honor of the 7th fighter squadron based at Robins Air Force Base for repairs which had the nickname Screamin' Demons.

One Year Ago.. Satanism & Coke

A year ago, Coca-Cola was being accused of blasphemy in Russia. Prosecutors the city of Nizhny Novgorod were looking into complaints from hundreds of people that the American company used images of Orthodox churches and crosses in its ads, some of which were even put upside down - which they consider a sign of Satanism. Coca-Cola says the marketing plan only promoted Russia's cultural heritage and in no way insults or is meant to demean Orthodox Christian beliefs. To avoid any further controversy, Coca-Cola decided to remove the ads.

Satanism Ritual Charges in North Carolina

A Democratic leader in North Carolina is being accused of participating in Satanism. Prosecutors in Durham have arrested three people who have been involved with the Durham County Democratic Party and charges against them include assault with deadly weapon, rape and kidnapping involving a satanic ritual. Police say a couple claims they were beaten, shackled, kept in dog cages and starved.The attorney for the three tells the Charlotte Observer there is no satanic worshipship or crime. They also run a company called Indigo Dawn which offers “past-life regression, spirit guide communication and healing and cleansing”. The companies site has been taken down but here is part of what was once online.

SATANISTS ARRESTED

Two Satanists are behind bars in Phenix City, Alabama. Police say they are responsible for a series of arson and vandalism at rural churches. Graffiti like Teach children to worship Satan!! was scrawled on walls at some of the churches. The two men plead not guilty. A task force of federal, state and local authorities tracked them down when the grandmother of one of the men called police. She had found a brass cross in the home along with other items taken from churches.
