A Washington, DC judge has turned down a request to stop Obama's swearing-in ceremony from containing references to God. Atheist Michael Newdow had claimed it was a violation of church and state separation. But the judge said the religious references were similar to the prayers offered in state legislators that the Supreme Court has permitted.
