A restaurant receipt has gotten a pastor a lot of attention on Reddit. She left it at an St. Louis Applebee’s and added this comment, “I give God 10%, why do you get 18?” Pastor Alois Bell of Truth in the World Deliverance Ministries says she ended up leaving a tip of $6.29 — the same amount that was scribbled out on the receipt — and that her credit card was also charged with an additional $6.29. Bell told
everyone else at her table also left tips in cash. Bell told KTVI-TV that when the receipt was posted to Reddit, Bell said people started sending her angry messages.
“I’ve been harassed because of this and it doesn’t tell the whole story.”

The "whole story" is that the server is without a job, while Bell has 2. This happens often, where a pastor encourages his followers to leave "The Word of God"as a tip. As spiritually fulfilling to the patron as that may be, bills are paid with money. The automatic "tip out" which comes out of the servers pay everyday that is paid to the busboys, service bar, and others is also in cash. I would be curious to see how many people are willing to have someone cometo their job which doesnt require tipping and have someone leave them "The Word" instead of paying full price on a car, house, or some other item. Shame on you, Bell, for being upset that you are ashamed that you wrote something so nasty. If you were ashamed of it, you shouldnt have written it. That said, i believe everyone should be required to know how a restaurant actually works before you are allowed to eat at one.
This is what we should expect from a person who teaches others about Jesus? Ugh. Just ugh.
