Suspended for Bible Verse
A Florida corrections officer has has been suspended over a Bible verse. The Manatee County Sheriff's department corrections Sgt. Matthew Neu circled a Bible verse in Psalms (109:8) and left the Bible on the desk of another corrections sergeant, along with a note that described the verse as The Obama Prayer. The verse reads, "Let his days be few, and let another take his office." The following verse reads, "May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow." The officer who found the Bible on her desk says she believed that the person who marked the passage wanted Obama dead. Neu says he told investigators that he did not mean to make any threat against the president. He saw the verse in an email and "thought it was funny."
