Fired for Expressing Views on Gays

A University of Toledo official with strong religious beliefs says she was fired for expressing her opinion on homosexuality. Crystal Dixon is an African American who served as Associate Vice President for Human Resources for the Ohio school. She wrote an op-ed piece that was published in the Toledo Free Press last month. In a written statement, the University’s president says her opinion contradicts the University’s core values. And the University says Disxon was fired for other reasons besides the coincidental article. Dixon plans to file a discrimination suit. She serves as an elder at End Time Christian Fellowship Church.
