Pastor Steals $650,000
The pastor of a Roman Catholic church in Las Vegas took $650,000 from his parish over nearly a decade. Kevin McAuliffe stole from the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton mission fund, the gift shop fund and even from a pot of money intended for candles. McAuliffe pleaded guilty last week and could be sent to prison for 60 years. He built it into one of Nevada’s largest Roman Catholic parishes, but used the funds for a gambling addict.

Jackpot Winner Giving 60% to Charity
William Kiefer of Houston won the January 29th drawing of the Mega Millions jackpot. Kiefer says he's going to donate most of the $144 million in winnings to charity. In a statement released Friday by the Texas Lottery Commission he said:
“The greatest gift my parents gave me was to be raised a Christian. I plan to give 60 percent of all after-tax winnings to charity."

$10 Million to College
A Columbia, South Carolina pastor is giving $10 million to a college from his Power Ball winnings. Solomon Jackson Jr. who pastors New Shiloh Baptist Church, won a $260 million lottery jackpot this past summer. He attended Morris College some 30 years ago where he studied theology. Now he's giving the school the gift to pay for a new administration building, a new dormitory and various scholarships to the private, historically African-American college.

Lottery Reversal
Harding University has reversed itself on the Arkansas state lottery. The Little Rock-area Christian school affiliated with the Church of Christ had exempted the new lottery from a student gambling ban. But now Harding’s president says that was a mistake. The lottery began at the end of September with the sale of scratch-off tickets. Arkansas starts Powerball sales at the end of this month.
