The Georgia Baptist Convention is no longer accepting contributions from the
First Baptist Church of Decatur, who has a woman as senior pastor. Julie Pennington-Russell came to the pulpit a little over a year ago.
First Baptist has been a part of the Southern Baptist Convention for nearly 150 years.
